Charity is always close to a Freemason’s heart. From the earliest days, Freemasonry has been concerned with orphans, the sick and the aged. This work continues today with the four Masonic Charities, as well as supporting Non-Masonic Charities.

Imperial College Lodge has given and continues to give generously to the four Masonic Charities and through these donations the Lodge has become Grand Patron of each of these charities as denoted by the list of patronages on our Welcome page.

The Lodge has in the past not only donated to the Masonic Charities, but to charities such as the Teenage Cancer Trust, The Prince’s Trust, Help for Heroes, Magic Breakfast and many more, including smaller donations to fund research at the University and to the Imperial College Student Hardship funds.

The Lodge has also given larger donations to Imperial College - Giving to assist with scholarships for students wishing to study at Imperial College. We ahve alos given to Imperial College Union RAG as well.

The Grand Charity has also made large donations to research at the Imperial College and other Universities especially into the medical research of cancers.

It must be acknowledged that there are many calls on a Freemason to support worthy causes; however every Mason is asked to give to charity only without detriment to his own circumstances. His family needs always comes first.
